Sketch : A Lion & Weil Hotel, Ipoh

Sketch : A Lion & Weil Hotel, Ipoh

It's been ages since I last draw. Realizing that my drawing skill will go rusty if I don't practice, I was thinking that I should start drawing again, using this free time I got while the Restriction Movement Order (RMO) still ongoing.

As usual, I don't know what to draw at first and I was afraid to ruin a drawing if I just start drawing something big. So while scrolling photos for ideas, I found a photo of a lion which I thought would be easy for me to draw, so I did. This lion drawing took me about half an hour to finish. It was easy indeed but I wasn't quite satisfied with the outcome actually. It really showed that I hadn't drawn for so long, tehee.

When I thought to just shut my sketchbook, the feeling of unsatisfied lingered in me so I googled for reference photos to draw again and I found that Weil Hotel in Ipoh would be an easy building to draw. So I grabbed my drawing pen and started to draw it. As you can see, I still couldn't overcome my rusty hand yet. But hopefully, this would be a stepping stone to get on the right track again. I'm planning to draw at least one drawing per day starting today. I'll post the drawings compilation once the RMO stopped.

Till then,
Lya.
